when they call a misogynistic man who abuses those with the power he gets from being a man “just like a woman”/ claims “he experiences misogyny!!”

@viosumii :( i hope things get better, alicia. please, try and rest if you can. make sure to stay hydrated and well fed if possible (it doesn’t fix everything but it definitely makes things slightly better if possible).

Shout to all of the victim characters out there who despite everything, still hold some love for their abuser.

also, common tactic abusers will do (that many of mine have done) is try to paint their victims as “crazy” “unreasonable” etc. etc. of course, abuse can happen to anyone, but if you see individuals with a power imbalance in their dynamic (teacher-student, parent-child,-

A common thing most seen in abusers is that they tend to lie about the victims and make up claims of things they didn't do. They will do anything if it means to get people on their side. When the others see through their true colors and see that the abuser lied, they scramble.

@CHOCOR0B0TS Also the possibility that abusers will seek out mentally vulnerable people which does very much often include people with personality disorders

A lot of people also conveniently miss that being in abusive situations will cause severe mental health problems and no one is a "perfect victim" because people will try to resist in any way they can People aren't going to be frolicking in fields after being abused

The messed up thing is my parents constantly painted me as crazy and unreasonable literally nonstop to the point that at age 23 I still dont trust myself with anything. Making a decision or saying my opinion is horrifying to me most of the time even now

@CHOCOR0B0TS 100%. in my experience this also becomes extra effective when in tandem with reactive abuse; being painted as the monster for finally reacting to everything i’m very glad you made this thread. even isolating you from friends and family for being “crazy” is another power move
