The cost of a bachelor’s degree accounts for only about three percent of total lifetime spending. This cost represents an investment that pays dividends over a lifetime, enhancing every other aspect of a person’s life. #DidYouKnow

The average American spends nearly $3.4 million in a lifetime on housing, cars, vacations, insurance, and raising children. Housing and cars alone account for nearly 60 percent of total spending.

Thank you @GovKathyHochul for signing into law critical legislation to expand simulation in nursing education! This new flexibility will help students get the training they need and nursing programs expand to meet the state's needs.

This expands the ability of colleges to accept more nursing students instead of turning them away and it will fill much needed jobs in the nursing field. I spent 2 years w/our healthcare workers & colleges to reach this agreement. I was delighted to see it signed into law (2/2)

Yesterday I joined @GovKathyHochul , Assemblywomen Fahy and Lupardo and @CICU to celebrate a new law that will allow nursing students to receive up to a third of their clinical education through simulation. (1/2)

🧑‍⚕️ @GovKathyHochul just signed legislation I helped moved through the Higher Ed. committee to allow nurses to complete part of their required training in a simulated learning environment. NY needs to hire 40,000 nurses by 2030–and this will undoubtedly help get us there.
