Fighting corruption in the land sector begins with Responsible actions. On @TayariWestTV, The Special Presidential Assistant on Anti-Corruption @SPA_AntiCorrupt reminded Ugandans; “writing a Will is not a sign that death is near — it’s a responsible act of love and legacy.” At CIFACU, we’re echoing this call: ✅ Draft your Will ✅ Plan for your family’s future ✅ Let your spouse know your assets ✅ Choose openness over secrecy at home Corruption doesn’t start in offices — it starts where transparency is missing. Let’s close that gap, one household at a time. Reject. Resist. Report. #MeAndYouAgainstCorruption

On Wednesday 15 July 2026, CIFACU under the Office of the Special Presidential Assistant/Anti-Corruption (OSPA/AC) moved their flagship Anti-Corruption Caravan to a community baraza at Kyarwabuganda in Mbarara District. As part of CIFACU's ongoing public sensitization and rallying Ugandans on in the fight against corruption, the SPA/AC Ms.Rebecca Atwiine called on residents to remain vigilant and sober and unified as they guard against any form of confusion and compromise which are key weapons of the corrupt who pervert public resources like land, PDM funds for private gain. SPA/AC emphasised the critical role of leaders of intergrity in the fight against corruption. To this end, she called upon the community to exercise their civic duty and participate in the LC elections and choose leaders aligned with the government call of working for people 'no sleep, no kukongola and no corruption' and who have demonstrated such commitment. The community affirmed their individual commitment to Reject, Resist, and Report corruption in all its forms by undertaking a commitment oath and executing a 'my anti corruption commitment card' as their daily reminder of their national and pattiotic duty to combat corruption as assigned under Article 17(1)(i) of the 1995 Constitution. #MeAndYouAgainstCorruption

We see you, Namisindwa! This is what accountability looks like when leadership meets the people where they are — 20+ facilities inspected in a single day, and a population that shows up in these numbers because they know their voice matters in this fight. President Museveni’s Zero Tolerance to Corruption agenda isn’t a slogan — it’s a movement, and Namisindwa just proved it. When citizens and leadership stand together against corruption, service delivery WILL improve. #MeAndYouAgainstCorruption

SPECIAL PRESIDENTIAL ASS'T/ ANTI-CORRUPTION
On 13th May 2026, Adv. Rebecca Atwiine, the special Presidential Assistant Anti-Corruption (SPA/AC) with her team met with the leadership and team of the Inter-Religious Council of Uganda (IRCU) @irc_uganda to strengthen collaboration between IRCU and the Citizens Forum Against Corruption Uganda (CIFACU) @CIFACU_Ug in the fight against corruption. CIFACU, an all citizens forum under the auspices of the Office of the Special Presidential Assistant/Anti-Corruption is premised on Article 17(1)(i) of the Constitution of Uganda which mandates all citizens to combat corruption and wastage of public resources. CIFACU is the platform through which citizens can execute this national and constitutional mandate. Adv. Atwiine commended IRCU for promoting integrity, moral values, and responsible citizenship, attributes that are critical in fighting corruption and which CIFACU is intentional in enforcing. She highlighted corruption tendecies affecting communities including abuse of office, neglect of duty, embezzlement, bribery among others that are continously manifesting through land grabbing, fraudulent land transactions, displaced and and disgruntled cpmmunities, decrease in faith, increased crime rates among others warning that such practices undermine justice, social harmony, and public trust. She emphasized that combating corruption is a shared national responsibility that requires active participation from citizens, religious institutions, civil society, and government agencies. She noted that religious leaders are uniquely positioned to shape ethical values, promote accountability, and mobilize communities to combat corruption. Adv. Atwiine reaffirmed CIFACU’s commitment to working with like-minded institutions in promoting the “3R” CIFACU model; Reject, Resist, and Report Corruption. In her closing remarks, Adv. Atwiine stressed that prevention remains the most effective and sustainable approach to fighting corruption. Corruption being a continuing vice, this also takes into account reform and mindset change of the corrupt calling upon them to turn back from corruption and instead combat it as their national duty calls. #MeAndYouAgainstCorruption
