New report out today by @NAOorguk providing an overview of @MHCLG's spending & performance, including the £10.2bn on housing & communities. Get the housing insight ⬇️

In 2023-24 @mhclg had a net spend of £40.7 billion. £10.2 billion was spent on housing and communities and the remaining £30.5 billion went to local government for them to spend on local services like adult social care. Read our overview ⬇️ nao.org.uk/overviews/mini…

The number of households living in temporary accommodation has also hit another record 123,100, up 16% on last year. At the same time, social housing delivery has significantly decreased and is at historically low levels. Today’s stats make it clear - we must build social homes.
