CII Jharkhand organised a session on "𝗚𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲: 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 & 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴" on 22 July in Jamshedpur in association with Khaitan & Co as the Session Partner. The session, graced by Mr Tushar Kanti Satapathy, Hon'ble Vice President, GSTAT, Ranchi Bench, and Mr Bijoy Bihari Mahapatra, Hon'ble Technical Member, GSTAT, Ranchi Bench, provided valuable insights into GSTAT procedures, digital filing, and effective GST litigation strategies. Expert sessions by Mr Rahul Dhanuka, Partner - Indirect Tax, Khaitan & Co and Mr Sudipta Bhattacharjee, Partner, Khaitan & Co, provided the participants with practical guidance on navigating the evolving GST appellate framework. #CIIJharkhand #CII4ER #CIIEasternRegion

𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻-𝗟𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗔 𝗖𝗜𝗜 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 (𝗜𝗪𝗡), West Bengal delegation led by 𝗠𝘀 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝗵𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗶, Chairperson, IWN West Bengal, engaged in a meaningful interaction with 𝗦𝗺𝘁 𝗔𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹, Hon'ble Minister-in-Charge, Department of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal. The delegation, comprising of past Chairs Ms Sucharita Basu, Ms Sriranjani Joshi, Ms Madhulika Karnoria and Ms Vinita Bajoria, and member Ms Shoma Basu, presented IWN's ongoing initiatives and future focus areas. The discussions explored opportunities to advance women's empowerment through collaboration, sustainability, inclusive growth and meaningful public-private partnerships. The session on “Succession on Scaling Through Markets: Eastern India’s Listing Success Story” at the 12th CII Capital Markets Conclave 2026 – Capital Markets and the Future of Eastern India’s Industrial Growth, held on 18 July 2026, examined how businesses from Eastern India can leverage public markets to scale, build credibility, access capital and create long-term shareholder value. Moderated by Mr Venkatraghavan S, Managing Director, Equirus Capital Ltd, the discussion highlighted the growing opportunities for companies from Eastern India to access capital markets, while emphasising the importance of building strong foundations before considering a public listing. The panellists noted that businesses should focus on being market-ready rather than attempting to predict market movements. They also highlighted that listing is not the ultimate objective, but part of the broader journey of building a strong and scalable business. The session on “Deeptech – Can India Deliver its own SpaceX?” at the 12th CII Capital Markets Conclave 2026 – Capital Markets and the Future of Eastern India’s Industrial Growth, held on 18 July 2026, explored the opportunities and challenges in strengthening India’s deeptech ecosystem through innovation, patient capital and supportive policy interventions. Moderated by Mr Vansh Oberoi, Managing Partner, VC Grid, the discussion highlighted the need for greater focus on research and development, manufacturing value addition, innovation infrastructure and long-term capital to accelerate the commercialisation of frontier technologies. A key theme was the need to strengthen domestic demand for indigenous deeptech products. The panellists noted that limited domestic adoption often compels Indian deeptech companies to prioritise global markets, highlighting the importance of strengthening domestic procurement and building greater confidence in home-grown technologies.
