Piracy isn't just hurting the sports and entertainment industry; it’s actively stealing from customers and driving them into bankruptcy. A recent incident in Bengaluru highlights how a user looking for quick streaming options fell victim to a fake OTT application scam, losing over ₹1 Lakh to cybercriminals. The user came across a promotional link for a mobile application called “Tuby” promising free access to premium OTT platforms. Post installing the app, cyber fraudsters accessed his bank accounts and siphoned off ₹1 Lakh through multiple transactions. For illicit actors, unauthorized and cloned applications are incredibly lucrative. They use the guise of "free" or discounted premium content to trick users into downloading malicious software that siphons bank credentials and personal data. At Copyright Integrity International, we know that fighting digital piracy is about more than just protecting content rights; it’s about protecting the entire digital ecosystem and ensuring consumer safety. Brand protection and anti-piracy enforcement are critical layers of modern cybersecurity. Yesterday, our team attended the Indian Sports Summit held at the @CSE_bengaluru , Bangalore greeted with great weather and a bouquet of interesting panels. Consistency and planning to the 'P' were @RCBTweets winning organisational goals as summarised by Mr. Mohammad Bobat and Mr. Rajesh V Menon, followed by a forthcoming discussion between @hariranjanrao , IAS, Secretary, MYAS, Government of India, moderated by Nandan Kamath on the nation's increasingly sport-appreciative bent of mind. An intriguing session on stadium safety led by @seemantsingh96 , IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bangalore City and Mr. Vamsi Krishna @JointCPWest , Joint Commissioner, Bangalore, was both practical and informative, where actions spoke volumes. This was followed by a heartening conversation with Paul Foster and Ryan Sickman, P.E., highlighting the importance of factoring in the neighbourhood in which a stadium functions. A deep dive into the financial and commercial strategy involved in how sport’s biggest deals get done ensued between Mr. Rahul Saraf and Mr. Eric Savage, with the focal lens on the #RCB, followed by Anurag Dahiya and Peter Hutton's takes on sports sponsorships beyond the existing framework of media rights at large. @imVkohli candid conversation with @MayantiLanger_B on the career learnings that keep him in the present, driven by his love for the game, aptly and neatly tied a bow on the summit. As we scaled the summit, we picked our way through key learnings that left us hopeful about the sporting direction in which our nation is headed. These learnings were: ➡️ Consistency and Discipline. Building consistency by setting targets builds discipline and creates a winning mindset. ➡️ Culture is essential. Creating an organisational culture gives members a common narrative and ethos to follow, effectively cultivating a larger vision for every member to pursue. ➡️ Planning is key. Having a plan is essential to the success of every organisation and sporting event. Planned execution down to the tiniest detail creates a curated narrative while accounting for contingency. ➡️ Wayfinding in sport. Effective wayfinding is important in sport, applying as much to policy making as it does to a spectator finding their way in a stadium. Central legislation and policy have effectively set a path for federations to adopt their sporting roles progressively. ➡️ When you love what you do and do what you love best. It is a privilege to be able to do what you love, and you owe it to yourself to give it your best shot, both physically and mentally. #IndianSportsSummit #CopyrightIntegrityInternational #sportspolicy #india #tech #excellence #sports

In the Memory of Major Ashok Yadav 🙏 We are extremely saddened by the sudden and untimely passing of Major Ashok Y. Major Yadav understood digital piracy like no other.
