What an incredible March Madness event for our school community! We were thrilled to see such a fantastic crowd come together in support of a truly meaningful cause. After a hard-fought and exciting game, Washington held on to their title with a 48–42 victory. Congratulations to all who played with such heart and determination! Most importantly, thanks to the generosity and spirit of our community, we raised an amazing $11,719 for the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation. This is a powerful example of what we can accomplish when we come together for others. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event such a success: our dedicated and talented committee, the JFG dads who practiced for months and raised over $6,500 as a team, our spirited JFG Cardinal, all of our volunteers, JFG PSO, and every single person who donated and showed their support. We are so proud of our school community for making a difference! #JustFocusonGrowing

Our 5th graders have truly amazed us with their curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Through innovative experiments and thoughtful presentations, they exemplified what it means to be young scientists actively engaged in discovery. Events like this not only showcase the effectiveness of hands-on learning but also underscore the importance of inquiry, exploration of new concepts, and resilience in facing challenges. The kindergarten experience is defined by learning through play, sparking imagination, and building strong social skills. During our kindergarten class trip to Imagine That, our students were engaged, curious, and filled with joy as they participated in hands-on exploration and creative adventures. The JFG air was buzzing with the incredible talent of our student musicians. From the very first note of the chorus to the soloist parts, the Music in Our Schools Month concert was an absolute triumph! #JustFocusonGrowing

At JFG, we experienced a truly magical moment on Incredible Kid Day! Our students opened heartfelt letters from home, and their radiant smiles spoke volumes! Witnessing our kids understand just how deeply they are cherished and supported by their families and school community is the highlight of our work. A heartfelt thank you to the parents and guardians who took the time to send these messages: your notes were more than just letters; they were expressions of love, sources of joy, and the essential touch of "Incredible" that our students absolutely needed! Our kindergarten classrooms were visited by none other than Lucky the Leprechaun! And let’s just say he made quite the mess before making his great escape! Chairs were tipped, glitter was everywhere, and tiny green footprints led us on a wild chase! Even OFFICER NICK was on the case, investigating clues, following the trail and helping us piece together the mystery! Reading opens the door to imagination, builds confidence, and allows our students to discover new ideas and new worlds. Watching their faces light up and their excitement grow with every page we turned together was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. Moments like these, sharing stories, nurturing curiosity, and being part of our students’ smiles and laughter, are truly priceless! #JustFocusonGrowing

During Read Across America Week, we were so excited to welcome Gerald, our special friend from Washington! His visit brought so many smiles, laughter, and excitement to our school. We are incredibly grateful to Mrs. Palianto and our wonderful friends at Washington School for sharing Gerald with us for the day. JFG students loved the surprise visit, and it made our celebration of reading even more memorable! #JustFocusonGrowing

What a fantastic time we had at our Masked Reader Assembly! Our students loved listening to mystery readers share a story while trying to guess who was behind the mask. The excitement, laughter, and enthusiastic guesses made it such a memorable event for everyone! As we head into this special weekend, our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible JFG families who make up our school community. At school, we talk often about reading, writing, math, and growth, but the most important lesson we learn every day is love. Love is what helps a child try again after a hard problem. Love is what shows up at parent-teacher conferences, school performances, and early morning drop-offs. Love is packed into lunchboxes, written in encouraging notes, and felt in bedtime hugs and kisses! To our JFG families, thank you for the love you pour into your children and into our school. Your kindness, patience, sacrifices, and steady support make all the difference. When children know they are loved, at home and at school, they feel safe, confident, and ready to shine! Our Grade 2 students wrapped up their Money Unit with an exciting hands-on shopping experience, transforming our classrooms into three vibrant student-run stores: Chick-fil-A, Target, and Starbucks. They received a budget and enthusiastically explored the stores, using their money-counting skills to make spending choices. They engaged in real-world math by calculating totals and counting bills and coins. It was a fun, educational adventure that highlighted the power of creative teaching. We are incredibly proud of our Grade 2 learners and dedicated teachers for bringing math to life! #JustFocusonGrowing

Our first graders are diving into a world of hands-on exploration and discovery! From witnessing that oil and water don’t mix, to volcanic eruptions, teaming up to create dazzling rainbows, and even diving into the world of germs, each activity ignited curiosity and enthusiasm! Our students were truly mesmerized as they delved into the wonders of flight, the magic of magnets, the various forms of matter, electricity, and so much more!
