Last summer a wonderful aide in Channelview passed away unexpectedly. She was studying to become a SpEd teacher & her whole heart was dedicated to serving this population of students. Her family has now created a scholarship in her honor and also hosting a fundraiser in Feb

Today an elementary structured learning teacher took her class out to Community Based Instruction at our Tiny Home. We built it for high school students to practice independent living...and I'm thrilled to see our younger students using it too! Today they made tacos, yummm!

Many thanks to our school psychologist team in @ChannelviewISD. They work tirelessly to provide evaluations and support for students across the district. Our team even hosts social skills groups on Friday evenings to build a tribe for our neurodivergent scholars.
