Thanks to The Lola Foundation for bringing the Canines 4 Kindness program to one of our Northwest Side schools last month! The program was interactive, fun, and most importantly, demonstrated how to practice compassion and kindness every day.

This month, CIS community partner @plantchicago hosted a workshop for students at the Back of the Yards Youth Summit! Students learned about worms and mushrooms during the interactive program. 🪱🍄‍🟫 Shout-out to our Student Supports Manager Lali who helped coordinate!

Congratulations to seventh grader Jade Lee who was named the 2025 @DtWTOfficial Chicago national ambassador! Jade was recognized at this week’s celebration dinner, along with the top 100 student authors. Our team is thrilled to co-sponsor this impactful writing challenge.

Thank you, @Soles4Souls! Because of our partnership, CIS partner schools were able to pick up 500 shoes and deliver them directly to students who need them most. This definitely brought some smiles to young people and families as we gear up for the end of the year. 👟

Last month, our friends at The Lola Foundation shared their Canines for Kindness program at a few of our partner schools, and our students loved the experience. The program showcased compassion, tolerance, and empathy through rescue dogs. lolafound.org
