Excited to launch @SeatGeek's ChatGPT app.
It combines the intelligence of LLMs alongside SeatGeek’s data and UX, allowing people to shop for tickets like never before
Try it out: chatgpt.com/apps/seatgeek/…
h/t @CJKMerriman @chrisvoll for being awesome teammates to bring this to life with, showcasing the power of small, blurred-lined, AI forward teams

@eglyman I built a fun ✈️ jet plane scanner for kids & their Yoto players, that ended up winning their developer challenge and is enjoyed by 30k families monthly - dreamingofajetplane.com

We only hire builders (and we’re on a hiring spree)!
Reply with something you've built. I'll read them personally. We’re interviewing the best ones.
You’ll be a good fit if you:
- work best without permission
- default to “how could I automate this”
- had weird teenage hobbies
- spend your sunday making side projects
- have more Claude agents than cousins
- shipped something this week
- make prototypes, not powerpoints
- don’t like hierarchy
- are good at games: chess, monopoly, poker
- would take dinner with Elon over $100k
Good luck,
Eric

Heroic effort from the @StubHub engineering team to rollout out upfront prices for fans over the past 36 hours. And they are still going! Only mobile web and native apps to go!!

Scott Friedman 🎟️@ScottFriedman3
I appreciate @alixanfang from @StubHub reaching out to me directly. Alix stated to me the @StubHub engineer team is rolling everything out and will comply with “All In” 🎟️ pricing moving forward.
English

@ScottFriedman3 @SeatGeek We’re keeping the toggle around for now because we’ve heard from some fans that they still wish to compare prices without fees, particularly sellers. But as of this morning the default for all users visiting SeatGeek will be to see prices including fees regardless of past pref.
English

@BY272727 @ScottFriedman3 We are live with including fees everywhere in US. Can you share the events you are seeing excluding fees as default on please Ben?
English

@ScottFriedman3 Still seeing Seatgeek default to “excluding fees” on some events.
English

.@VividSeats @StubHub are breaking the law and still trying to bait and switch civilians.
They are not disclosing “All In” 🎟️ pricing from the getgo.

The new maps on @SeatGeek are very impressive. The combine many features that make it easier for users to find the best seats within their budget
Fans love ISMs (individual seat maps) and the ability to see many price points easily in one view

English

@jherskowitz Surely it’s $0.004 per streamed interlude. But only when > 30 secs 😂

Great thread from @soundboy on what we were trying to @songkick and how it all went down. No coincidence, Ticketmaster stopped innovating with onsales as soon as @songkick was out of the picture.

1/ A few thoughts on TicketMaster and @taylorswift13.
English

@iamjackstephens @Lefsetz Unfortunately this can only change through legislation. Data shows all in pricing significantly hurts conversion, compared to adding fees later in funnel. Low incentive to be a first mover, even with exclusive inventory newsroom.haas.berkeley.edu/research/buyer…
English

"everybody inside knows the fees were established to get a pot of money outside the commissionable gross, so the promoter could make a profit, so the acts didn't take it all." - from a recent @Lefsetz letter
When will ticket revenues be more transparent?
English

I’ve seen a lot of sentiment like this around #TaylorSwiftTix. Totally agree. Competition is needed to drive innovation. But what might that innovation look like? It’s not about solving the scale problem that comes with millions of Swities hitting your app all at once. 🧵
nilay patel@reckless
In a functional market economy, Taylor Swift sees what's happening with Ticketmaster and says "we'll be going with one of your competitors next time." in America's dumb consolidated economy, all she can do is hope they improve next time
