#LoadsheddingUpdate #MediaStatement City Power has implemented Stage 2 load shedding as per directives of Eskom. This is due to the loss of generating capacity at Kelvin substation. We'll update customers and residents of @CityofJoburgZA about blocks affected.^BP

#Loadshedding City Power receives about 90 % of its electricity from Eskom, with 10% coming Kelvin Power Station east of Joburg. The extra capacity City Power has comes from various sources which include ripple relays, load limiting through smart meters, &Kelvin Power station.

#Loadshedding City Power customers should not panic, and we will update when this situation changes. We continue to urge our customers to use electricity sparingly as the system remain under pressure.

City Power has an extra capacity to help mitigate against Loadshedding and offset the 200MW that Eskom seeks to save. Therefore the residents and businesses in Johannesburg are cushioned from the impact of loadshedding Stage 2 as announced.

#CITY POWER NOT LOADSHEDDING Eskom has declared the implementation of Loadshedding Stage 2 from tonight between 9pm and tomorrow Friday 6am. However City Power would like to urge its customers within the City of Johannesburg not to panic as we won't be loadshedding.

I suggest you do the same. There is no such thing as cancer free, only ''remission'. p.s. my mamo didn't even pick up my lump.
