Two SAPS officers were shot while on duty in Langlaagte, Johannesburg after coming under fire from suspects in a vehicle they were following. The officers were trailing a Toyota along Main Reef Road when the vehicle suddenly made a slight turn. As the police vehicle passed, the suspects allegedly opened fire. One officer was grazed in the head while the other was shot in the shoulder. Both officers were rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.

On Wednesday 2024-02-21 members of this office inconjuction with the operational team conducted an operation at the address of the suspect @Max at Extension 35, Riversideview. The target was owning a chopshop in Diepsloot and known to be the receiver of stolen motor vehicles and motor cycles in the surrounding areas ( Midrand ,honeydew,Randburg and Sandton).
