The “safest” population to release are those serving life sentences. That’s just Fact. Data. Research. And yes, ppl who (decades ago) have committed a violent act such as murder. It’s hard to talk about but we have to be honest & make this conversation normal, not run from it.

He applied for conditional medical release in the beginning of this pandemic... HE GOT DENIED. 45 days ago he reapplied and it was going to be a expedited application... this morning he passed away after serving 29 years in your facility.

What's your take on this? "@MinnCorrections should release less people than they could for COVID-19 because those with the resources to qualify to be released are more likely to be whites" The Commissioner of Corrections used this line so thought I'd get some community thoughts
