The moment Elon bought Twitter was great. The moment they've started to pay creators was terrible. I specifically remember Elon arguing that Twitter bots were around if not higher than 40%. I'm convinced that that percentage is down, but not by much, only because Ai propagation tools in existence are much more potent than back then. You add a pay system based on impressions and frivolous metrics, add the capacity of Ai workforce and you end up with the ultimate death spiral where the content isn't actually content, it's just a regurgitation of Ai created, driven, monetization incentivizing reality. Shut it down for 6 months, and then you'll see the creators.

Pretty sure that 90% of "big accounts" have taken or are taking money for all these "services". Dom Lucre was a warning shot, it was an "we see and know what you're doing" message. Right @nikitabier 🙂

There are creators charging $40k per post on X. I know them by name, there are so many people that were jumping with joy and were hoping I would go broke. This is the evil we live in. There should be warnings before monetization gets paused….especially when there’s no clear proof of a violation. A 3-strike system would be much fairer and give creators a chance to correct issues before being cut off. @dom_lucre posts great content and still gets paused without any prior warning. That’s the problem.
