Love my family, those that made this country what it is, and looking forward to the dawn of a new day

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has quietly scrubbed Paige Ostroushko from its soccer team website after she was arrested on suspicion of violently assaulting a conservative journalist. heartlandpost.com/uw-stevens-poi…

If that marketing budget is accurate, you are looking at what? $1.75 billion as a conservative break-even point? Even if it profits, how is the risk worth it? One good, stacked Avengers movie will not quell the apathy around superheroes in 2026. We will not see anything like phase 3 Marvel again. It was a cultural phenomenon that simply can't be recreated with money and brute force.

What’s crazy is when they do it - This time Swalwell last time (I remember) Al Franken - The Swalwell and Franken’s don’t turn on their own party. Again, another amazing part of being a Dem.

The Swalwell downfall is so cynical. Why now, when the stories were known for years? The No Kings, anti-oligarchy party once again pulled out the Pelosi hook to yank someone offstage because they thought they could win with someone else—this time literal billionaire Tom Steyer.

So the Dems improve their chances in the CA gov race and also avoid putting their members on record in a vote to expel, and all it cost them was a replaceable congressman, whose seat will now be filled by another Dem. Gotta give the devils their due: they're good at the game.

"I'm sure it's very hard to restrain yourself." -- Eric Swalwell Well, this certainly hits different

Dear Minnesota, You guys okay up there? Sincerely, Concerned Americans

UPDATE: It looks like Paige Ostroushko has deactivated her Instagram account and is trying to scrub everything about herself off of the internet after her actions yesterday. She and her father's entire social media accounts were called "MN ANGRY FATHER" and "MN ANGRY DAUGHTER". The father, Chris Ostroushko, has blocked me on Instagram and it seems they are trying to do damage control after the entire family's violent actions yesterday.

This is my favorite movie scene of all time. Two key lessons: 1. You can read every book ever written, but knowledge means little without real-world experience. 2. Every single person you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.

South Africa has more race laws than at the height of apartheid But it's anti-White, so it's fine

The Shawshank Redemption flopped in theaters, $16 million worldwide on a $25 million budget, opening weekend just $727,000 in 1994, it disappeared almost immediately. It lost all seven Oscar nominations to Forrest Gump, no awards, no box office, the studio labeled it a failure and the director walked away devastated. Then something quiet started happening, VHS rentals, cable reruns, someone watching it alone on a Tuesday night and calling a friend the next morning. People who watched it told their friends, their friends told more people, it spread slowly, one recommendation at a time, no marketing push just genuine word of mouth. By 2008 it reached number one on IMDb, the audience voted it the greatest film ever made and it has stayed there ever since. It took 14 years to get there, a box office bomb turned into the highest rated film in history, built entirely by viewers long after the studio had already moved on.

Remember when “buying it” actually meant owning the shtit?

Socialist Mayor Mamdani is facing backlash for preventing New Yorkers from celebrating America’s 250th birthday. He literally is locking the public out of Times Square and denying permits for the people to celebrate our nation's greatest milestone.

The $40 Million Decision Shaq Walked Away From. In the 1990s, Shaquille O’Neal had a major endorsement deal with Reebok. His signature shoes sold for well over $100 a pair. One day after a game, a woman approached him outside the arena and told him his shoes were too expensive for kids in struggling families. That single comment changed everything. Shaq walked away from a reported $40 million contract extension with Reebok. Instead, he partnered with Walmart to create an affordable sneaker line simply called “Shaq.” To make sure the shoes still looked and felt premium, he brought in former Reebok designers to help engineer the collection. Priced around $20, the “Shaq” sneakers became a massive success. To date, more than 400 million pairs have been sold worldwide. Shaq could have kept cashing huge checks for luxury sneakers. Instead, he chose to make sure every kid who looked up to him could actually afford a pair.
