Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is not an All-NBA Defensive player. He’s not even close. Shai floats around just like Harden used to do and plays for steals and deflections. He matches up against the worst offensive player on the opposing team, and he gets beat by them multiple times per quarter. If you’re going to criticize players like Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic on defense then you can’t boost up the steals man just because he hovers and plays passing lanes all game. SGA is the worst on-ball defender the @okcthunder have. He gives zero resistance defensively on the perimeter. He’s below average on close outs and help side defense. He floats, and those 2 steals a game don’t make up for the times he gets beat. He is a bad defender. Stop saying he’s great.
