This is misinformation. Spe was not "traumatized" as a foal by a chestnut mother. Hours after Spe was born he was introduced to a draft horse nurse mare (of unknown coat) who naturally took several days to warm up to him. When Spe was weaned months later they cried for each other

Incidentally, Dr. Copa—the owner of Copano Rickey—also owned a filly named Love Me Chan, who, like Oguri Cap, was based at Kasamatsu. She won the Zen-Nippon Nisai Yushun, a dirt race classified as a Jpn1 event. While perhaps not quite on the same level as Oguri Cap, she is also regarded as a hero of Kasamatsu, and a bronze statue of her stands at the Kasamatsu Town Hall. She, too, might one day become a "Uma Musume" character.

In Japan, alongside standard G1 races, there is a classification known as "Jpn1," which holds a status virtually equivalent to G1. This classification applies to races that are treated as G1 events within Japan but are closed to horses from overseas. Many dirt races in the Local Horse Racing circuit (Chihō Keiba) fall under this category. Copano Rickey has won a total of 11 G1 and Jpn1 races. This is the record for the most wins in Japan. Hokko Tarumae, a rival of Copano Rickey, won a combined total of 10 G1 and Jpn1 races. This record ranks second only to that of Copano Rickey. The two horses were rivals who vied for the top spot in Japanese dirt racing over the course of several years. By the way, the reason she likes feng shui is that the owner of the horse Copano Rickey was a famous feng shui master in Japan. His name is "Dr. Copa," and he adds "Copano" to the beginning of his horses' names. "Copano" means "Copa's" in English.

And pearl wouldn't do well anyway because 1. She only did okay on dirt (but tbf soft turf = dirt so maybe she could have done well on the surface if she ran more there), and 2. the two turn track at the Distaff would be too long for her anyway

In my mind, I think that as umamusume Kyoei March and Mejiro Dober "part ways" (as pursue totally different distances post the Shuka Sho, I can imagine Pearl just hugging them both and suggesting that they should all just run in the BC Distaff.
