THREAD 🧵 On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to take this opportunity to talk to you about something. I’ve discovered something incredible about Alba (Larsen) At the age of 15, Alba set up Girls International Racing Lab, a community aimed at helping young girls discover motorsport. Through this community, Alba organises events such as go-karting sessions, meet-ups…. By organising races, meet-ups and mentoring sessions with Alba and other role models, the initiative has already engaged over 400 girls and young women in Denmark alone & Alba’s goal for this year is to reach 15,000 girls around the world. In 2025, Alba received the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, as they recognised the impact G.I.R.L. was already having and the pathway it was starting to open up for young girls looking at racing for the first time follow the thread

🇬🇧 Total-Motorsport - 8/10 : Leclerc was fast throughout and briefly led the Grand Prix after a strong start. The late spin hurt his final result, but his pace and race craft made him one of the weekend’s leading performers.

🇬🇧 PlanetF1 - 7/10 : What a rollercoaster of an afternoon Charles Leclerc had. He led, fought tooth-and-nail with multiple cars at the front, questioned Ferrari stopping him (which proved the right call in the end), made some good moves and that all almost came undone with a spin on the final lap. Doing well to wrestle his car to the line, a P6 finish is probably not what his afternoon deserved, and he gets a good mark for the early work on track. Even worse for him, though, was being demoted to P8 with a 20-second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage too many times.
