THREAD 🧵 On this International Women’s Day, I’d like to take this opportunity to talk to you about something. I’ve discovered something incredible about Alba (Larsen) At the age of 15, Alba set up Girls International Racing Lab, a community aimed at helping young girls discover motorsport. Through this community, Alba organises events such as go-karting sessions, meet-ups…. By organising races, meet-ups and mentoring sessions with Alba and other role models, the initiative has already engaged over 400 girls and young women in Denmark alone & Alba’s goal for this year is to reach 15,000 girls around the world. In 2025, Alba received the FIA Women in Motorsport Award, as they recognised the impact G.I.R.L. was already having and the pathway it was starting to open up for young girls looking at racing for the first time follow the thread

🔴 À Madrid, il y a eu un travail de comparaison entre Charles et Lewis. Sur la monoplace de Charles, le FTM a de nouveau été supprimé, confirmant ainsi une modification déjà effectuée ces dernières semaines. Ce travail est clairement orienté pour Spa-Francorchamps et de Monza. Les informations recueillies confirment que la configuration prévue pour Spa sera très proche de celle utilisée à Silverstone. Le principal point d'interrogation concerne le FTM, mais Ferrari continue de rechercher le meilleur compromis entre efficacité aérodynamique, traînée et stabilité du train arrière. Le nouveau Macarena est encore en cours d'évaluation. Son lancement en Belgique est incertain. Il ne s'agit pas d'un aileron conçu spécifiquement pour réduire l'appui, mais d'une amélioration visant à accroître les performances globales de la SF-26. Le but est de réduire davantage la traînée lorsqu'il est ouvert, tout en maintenant un niveau d'appui aérodynamique sensiblement inchangé. D'après les indications recueillies, le gain pourrait atteindre 3 km/h. Les attentes pour Spa restent toutefois modérées. Le circuit belge, long de plus de sept kilomètres, ne comporte que deux zones de freinage importantes et se caractérise par de longs tronçons à pleine vitesse. En course notamment, l'efficacité de la distribution de l'énergie électrique tout au long du tour devient cruciale, un domaine dans lequel Mercedes continue d’être la référence. Cependant, la situation pourrait complètement changer en cas de pluie ou de conditions météorologiques mitigées. Le travail effectué à Madrid confirme toutefois l’approche de Ferrari : aucune précipitation pour faire débuter des upgrades qui ne sont pas encore disponibles en quantité suffisante. Si le nouveau « Macarena » fait ses débuts à Spa, la décision ne sera prise qu’au tout dernier moment et dépendra principalement des délais de production des nouvelles spécifications, davantage que des retours techniques recueillis en piste. #F1

🔴 C'est Vasseur lui-même qui aurait opposé son veto à l'arrivée de Newey. Fred s'y serait opposé à cause de demandes importantes, l'Anglais aurait réclamé un droit de veto sur l'embauche de nouveaux ingénieurs, l'attribution des rôles.... Rôle qu'occupe actuellement Fred. #F1

Charles: « Fred is one of the most beautiful encounters of my life. I feel like he has always been by my side throughout my career. He has been there for every milestone I have reached, and if I am where I am today, at a level of performance that allows me to realistically aim for the World Championship title, it is thanks to the work he has done alongside me over all these years. What is true for me is also true for the teams he has led, both operationally and from a team-building perspective. When I learned that he was going to take the Scuderia, I immediately knew that the project we were trying to build together had a future. From day one, he was able to create a dynamic within the group, a cohesion without which nothing is possible. I immediately had absolute confidence in him, and that confidence has only grown stronger ever since. Fred has a vision of motorsport that is always extremely accurate. He is able to distinguish between the perception we have of events and what is actually happening. This is very important at Ferrari, where emotions can sometimes take over because of the immense passion surrounding the Scuderia, and that passion can turn against the team during difficult moments. When it gets out of control, it can affect team members more than in any other team, but on the other hand, it can also push them to surpass themselves and do everything possible to overcome challenging situations. Fred is able to step back from this pressure, which can be both beneficial and destructive, in order to maintain the right perspective. Some of Ferrari’s fundamental values will remain unchanged, and that is a good thing, but Fred has managed to change many small things that make a huge difference. First of all, he makes the effort to understand every member of the team, to understand their situation, and to put them in the best possible conditions to bring out their full potential. This is undoubtedly one of his greatest strengths. Another is that he always brings a certain balance to the team. When Ferrari has a great race, everyone is overjoyed, and Fred is always there to remind us that it is only one race, and that there are many more to come. In moments of celebration, he never loses sight of reality and the facts, and it is exactly the same during difficult periods. When morale is at its lowest, he is always there to motivate us again. He is very emotionally calm, and that is a real asset for a team like Ferrari. Fred was my chance, and he still is, just as he is today the Scuderia’s chance. Fred: « There are a number of drivers I have been very close to, but nothing comes close to the visceral attachment I have with Charles. We don’t always need to talk to each other. We look at each other and understand one another. With Lewis (Hamilton), it’s a little different. There is a deep level of trust between us. I know I can trust him, and he knows he can trust me. @CL16_inside Then it makes it even worse what they did to Charles with no remorse. Monaco was outrageous the way they didn't tell him he could've gained a position in his home race. What's the difference between him and Binotto? Lying, withholding information, defending his teammates etc
