Monday morning 4/27/2026!

When I prayed for moisture, i should have asked for rain, but I am still grateful for what we got!!!

The calves really like my quarter tank calf shelters!!

Calves that are happy to have a dry place to lay down!

Looks like winter is back for a while!

After 3 snowstorms in 3 days the calves were happy to have some dry straw to bed in!!

Wednesday April 8, 2026 we helped friends trail some of their cattle closer to home for calving. Great weather for the trail, great food after getting them moved, and great conversation!! Life is good!!

If a new born calf gets a little chilly, we put them in the hot box and close the door!! The box has an electric heater and blower that blows heat up through the floor drying and warming the calf up! This is what the calf looks like when he is done warming and drying!!

There is nothing like a good licking for a new born calf!!!
