💥Just this morning, Charlotte mayor, Vi Lyles announced that she will resign from office effective June 30. 🗳️Lyles was first elected mayor in 2017. Only former Mayor Pat McCrory has held the office for longer. She worked for the Charlotte government for 20+ years holding many different positions. 👉In a statement made by Mayor Lyles: “I am very proud of my record as mayor, but I also firmly believe that true leadership includes knowing when it is time to let the next generation of leaders take over. The Panthers exercised the fifth-year option on quarterback Bryce Young's rookie contract, which will keep him here through the 2027 season.
