Today in Kent: Reform UK councillors voted themselves an above inflation and above recommendation pay rise 💴 Overruled their own legal officer 📜 Silenced opposition voices 🔇 Ignored Electoral Commission guidance ⚖️ And rammed through a political stunt during purdah 🚫🗳️ If you have to gag democracy to win an argument, you’ve already lost it.

If you want more benefits, vote Labour. If you want nationalisation, vote Nigel Farage. Conservatives have a better offer. Grip welfare. Back business. Get growth.

Steel is struggling because of ruinous net zero energy policy. Instead of sacking Ed Miliband, the Government is making manufacturers and users foot the bill with tariffs and higher steel prices. It's fantasy economics that will cost us jobs and growth.

This morning I joined Kemi Badenoch MP, Leader of the Conservative Party, at the launch of the 2026 Local Elections Campaign. Her priorities will ring true with the residents of Westminster who have been telling me that crime and anti social behaviour is their top concern. She pledged to triple stop & search to take knives and drugs out of the places we live. And to mandate the police to stop e-bikes being ridden on our pavements. She will also tell the police that they must stop drugs being smoked openly in public spaces. The people who break the rules, who are making life worse for everyone else, are not being punished and should be. What do you think? At last, the government is adopting Conservative policies to tackle fly-tipping. It’s a pity Labour voted against them last year but at least they’re now doing something after yet more rubbish building up. Labour’s sky-high Landfill Tax and their push towards less frequent bin collections, however, risks fuelling the criminal behaviour they claim to be cracking down on. This is the pattern under Labour: you pay more, you get less, and problems get worse. Only the @Conservatives are listening to people and developing solutions for our rural, coastal and urban environments.

Again, this is due to a Conservative policy that you rubbished in opposition…
