@CLeichus This will be year 3 at this school. Last year we have the biggest turnaround in Texas first 5 games. Hit district (tougher comp), had a couple injuries and fell off a bit.
We finished with the best start and record in school history.
New goals are based of that.

@CoachScott7763 Every year, every team is different in high school. I have been in similar situations. In this example, let’s say 5AD1, good competitive district. Do you set goals for offense/defense based on ppg? These are just general
questions to see how coaches approach/handle goals/results.

That is a great determinant in ppg.
I’ve coached teams that gave up 7 points per game over 14 games, and teams that gave up 50 points per game over 10. Does one mean I’m a great coach and the other mean I’m terrible?

@CoachScott7763 Agreed. If you were looking to hire an/OC/DC are you asking or looking at the average points scored and given up over the season? For example, if their team was 4-6 and gave up 40 a game, are you interested in interviewing them? These are just general questions.
