Nutrition and care in the early years can shape everything that follows. Through our Anganwadi initiative, we are trying, in our own way, to support that foundation. Grateful to see it come alive through our team’s efforts. linkedin.com/posts/milkymis…

Over 30 years ago, when we began paneer manufacturing, there was very little in terms of automation. It was a largely manual process, driven by experience, attention and consistency on the shop floor. Today, that landscape has changed significantly. We, @milkymistindia, are currently running trials to automate material movement within our facility using solutions from @goat_robotics, a recipient of the Make in India Excellence Award 2025. Their autonomous mobile robots are designed to integrate seamlessly into existing operations, enabling end-to-end material movement with greater efficiency and safety. What stands out is how far manufacturing technology has evolved adapting to real-world environments without disrupting established processes. This shift is helping us reduce manual errors, improve throughput and bring greater consistency across operations ensuring that what reaches our end customers meets the same uncompromising standards every time. For us, adopting such technology is not about change for the sake of it. It is about strengthening what we have always stood for - quality, reliability and consistency.

At a time when energy resources are under increasing pressure globally, responsibility begins with everyday choices. India receives abundant sunlight almost 360 days a year. If we optimise how we use energy in our daily routines, we can meaningfully reduce dependence on fossil fuels. A few simple shifts can make a real difference: • Reduce unnecessary travel. Where possible, choose virtual meetings. Last week, I cancelled five in-person meetings and moved them to Zoom. • Invest in rooftop solar where possible to power homes, cooking (induction), and EV charging. • Align energy-heavy activities like water pumping and washing with peak sunlight hours (around 11 am – 3 pm). Small behavioural changes, when adopted collectively, can create meaningful impact for energy efficiency, sustainability and the future we build together.

Came across a milestone today that deserves more attention than it’s getting. The Integral Coach Factory’s performance this year is a clear example of what India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision looks like on the ground. With the production of 3,405 coaches, including 857 next-generation variants, ICF continues to demonstrate the power of disciplined execution and technology-driven manufacturing at scale. The rollout of its 80,000th coach is not just a global milestone but a proud moment for India. This progress signals a deeper transformation from conventional manufacturing to capability-led, modern production systems. Strengthening such core infrastructure will be central to sustaining India’s long-term growth. While these milestones may not always make headlines, their impact on mobility, efficiency and national capacity building is both significant and lasting. My compliments to the entire team at ICF and Indian Railways for setting such high benchmarks. lnkd.in/gJdFw57h

There are some people whose work speaks long after they step away and Mr. Sadhasivam has been one such presence with us over the past five years. In his time with @MilkyMistIndia, he brought a depth of knowledge across languages and legal matters, along with a steady and sincere approach to his responsibilities. What always stood out was the care he took in everything he handled. You give him something as simple as drafting and his command over language ensures it comes back with a quiet finesse that makes even simple writing stand out, with clarity and completeness. Even on his last day, he handed me a note in shorthand, a small gesture that captured his discipline, attention to detail, and the respect he has always had for his work. There is much for the younger team to learn from him. Not just in terms of skill but in the way he approached his work with consistency and commitment. I am grateful for his contributions and wish him good health and happiness in the years ahead.

Water powers everything in dairy! From feed cultivation to the milk you drink. But the real shift? How we manage it. Recycling, integrated supply chains, smarter allocation are quietly turning a basic resource into a strategic advantage. This World Water Day, it is clear that water is not just life, it is leadership.

We may have all heard the story of the plane, three parachutes and four very different passengers. It is not the story that matters but the questions it raises. In life and work, what guides your decisions under pressure? How do you balance skill, perspective and values when choices are not easy?

In food, trust matters more than taste. On World Consumer Rights Day, I am reminded that when someone chooses @MilkyMistIndia, they are trusting us with their family’s daily nourishment. Protecting that trust, in sourcing, processing and every decision behind the scenes, is our responsibility. Always.

The rise of high-protein India shows that value in dairy is changing. How will products meet these new consumer expectations? Protein is becoming the new premium in urban India. Whey drinks, high-protein curd and sports nutrition dairy formats are no longer niche. They are entering everyday consumption. Urban consumers are redefining value in dairy. It is not just freshness or taste but functional benefits and nutrition. Across India, supply chains, processing capabilities and product innovation are evolving to keep pace. The future of dairy will be defined not by volume alone but by how well products align with changing lifestyles and nutritional priorities. My thanks to Sachin Anand for sharing your positive feedback on our Milky Mist Paneer. youtube.com/shorts/K8VPF6E… @milkymistindia

“Doodh Hai Wonderful.” Three decades ago, when the National Dairy Development Board launched this campaign, it was responding to concerns around urban milk consumption. Today, India leads the world in milk production, with per capita availability above the global average. States like Tamil Nadu are strengthening the ecosystem beyond production — modern processing, organised procurement and deeper value chains. The real shift may no longer be about volume, but about how intelligently we build the ecosystem around it.

India has invested $13B in distributed solar through PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM, adding 35 GW, as reported by Business Standard.business-standard.com/industry/news/… More than half of this capacity came in just 15 months. Solar + AI integration could lower power costs and strengthen industrial competitiveness. Encouraging to see. Solar powers our home and our manufacturing facilities. This builds resilience. #SolarEnergy #EnergyTransition #AI #India

Sometimes an image explains a management problem better than any presentation. I have experienced this first-hand and learned it the hard way. Micromanagement often comes from good intent, but when every step is tightly controlled, a lot of energy gets spent while progress quietly stalls. I will admit it. I have done it too. What I have learned over the years is this. Teams do not need constant oversight. They need clarity, direction and the space to take responsibility, make mistakes and adapt. At times, the most effective thing a leader can do is step back and let the team find its rhythm.

I came across a question that made me pause and think: What’s one lesson life taught you the hard way? What I learned the hard way is that some lessons are not clear at first. They only make sense over time, through responsibility and experience, often after decisions that felt right at the moment, but revealed their meaning much later. Experience does not just teach you what to do. It teaches you what to be patient about.
