🔴 F1 has quietly removed one of the strangest quirks from the 2026 regulations. • To save battery in certain track sections, drivers had to hold above 98% throttle for a full second to enter "power limited mode." If they lifted off even briefly (e.g. to correct a slide, like Leclerc in China sprint qualifying), the timer reset. This forced them to burn extra energy on corner exit when they reapplied throttle. • Now, once drivers hit 98% throttle and trigger the pending phase, they automatically enter power limited mode after one second — even if they back off in between. No more resets. This makes qualifying behaviour more natural, reduces weird energy penalties from small throttle corrections, and should prevent surprise power boosts or shortages. @F1 For the seat in Main Redbull team Lawson and Hadjar were both good option but last season was very unfair for Lawson when they announced Yuki for the 2nd seat.....

@cytrusf1 well these are two independent problems; b teams wont make fans drop out however i believe redbull should not have 4 drivers on the grid rather than 2 lik everyone else

@gerry_c_blaney @ashvarro Have you seen an F1 Drivers neck? Even bodybuilders are impressed. lol If you lose 2kg+ in sweat in a 2 hour race then you are an athletic and they train year round to be fit enough.

@ashvarro Driving an F1 car does not make an F1 driver an athlete, but every F1 driver must be an athlete in order to drive one of these things competitively. Once upon a time F1 drivers smoked and did a few pushups once a week. Nowadays they spend half their lives in physical training.

Hard to believe it's over 2 years since my open heart surgery for an aortic aneurysm. It was something that was discovered in a medical check-up, without any symptoms. I'm forever grateful to the doctors and nurses who looked after me, and to be able to live my life without limitations is truly a blessing 🙏🙏 A fading scar is reminding me of that event everyday when I'm looking at the mirror 👀

Which F1 track would you keep?

@lindbladnews I am happy Arvid and Liam can work together to improve the car and the performance. Alpine and Haas have real pace and also got lucky vs Vcarb. But they need to both score if possible. They have scored at each race including the sprint. GG Keep that up.

@MattP1Tommy Simply the drivers should use the tools. Not the tools deciding deployment regen. The driver should know the Boost is about to run out or Push to Pass has has 4 secs available.
