@reslived I agree. I think most people will dismiss Alan’s words entirely because the world (and seemingly the evidence) is against him, but it is hard to read his whole statement and not think that he does genuinely care about the community. Just a really awful situation for everyone

My take: Alan reads like someone who saw a bad system, thought he created the perfect answer, and naively believed he could get everyone on his side to use his solutions. Turns out there is no perfect solution. Not everyone wants to work with you. There is no everybody wins.
