@DanWolken That’s the nature of tournaments, not sure how that creates discomfort? There are plenty of years in the NFL where the #1 or #2 seed doesn’t win, and nobody is shocked.

One takeaway from last night is that it discomforts a lot of college football fans to know a lot of teams who won national championships in the old era would have lost in a tournament.

@ScottStras My point is that the Big12 is a “G5 laugh.” if you look at the teams in the Big12, they’re mostly former G5 teams who combined with the bottom of the old Big12. I’m not sure what that has to do with the SEC

@CorryAKnowles I was born and raised a Gator fan. Dad, Grandfather, Great-grandfather all went to UF. I loved all the players that were Gators and embraced and represented the UF Logo. This era is hard, what’s made CFB unique is the shared connection w/the fanbase and that’s evaporating

The game is in a weird space. I think it’s interesting and complex. I personally didn’t become a fan of this game just cheering for a logo. I was a fan of the guys from my neighborhood that played for the logo. Louis Oliver, Fred, Reidel, Rut etc… The players on the Swamp Kings documentary is also why I’m a fan. Not Albert and the colors 😂
