People see the 281M+ total wallets on Base and instantly think they’re already late. But that’s probably the wrong way to measure it. Look at this NFT(BetaAccess) supply instead. This soulbound token gets auto minted when someone turns on Base Mode inside BaseApp, creating a contract address tied to that user. And the supply is still sitting around 180k. Which means even though Base already has 281M+ wallets, only a tiny fraction have actually turned on Base Mode inside BaseApp. That’s the difference between total wallets on @base and real active users on @baseapp. So despite all the attention Base is getting, this ecosystem still feels incredibly early for true believers. If you’re already here interacting, exploring, and building… you might be earlier than you think.

The best internal simulation tool we've built yet. While Gigling Racing is very easy to watch & understand at a surface level, there are a number of cool new mechanics under the hood. When we realized late in April that we couldn't rely on a 3rd party piece of infra (tldr, it went down for 12 hours during our playtests... unacceptable), we (a) built it ourselves, (b) used the extra time to model a lot more MAFFS around the mode and (c) began working on some stuff that we can launch after racing goes live. The math is math'ing nicely rn. But also, we're going to let the community host races of their own so we can see all sorts of whacky or extreme settings being used. And then there's the hackathon, gonna be very interesting to see what people cook up around that.
