CMS 8th grade Spanish students took a field trip to the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet. Some of our students were on stage performing Flamenco, a Spanish traditional dance!
Congratulations to the 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade members of the CMS Italian Language and Culture Competition Club for their second place prize at this year's competition at Rutgers University. Students performed an original skit in Italian for close to 200 people!
On Saturday, two CMS students, Tanishka Zaveri and Gabriella Klapacz, competed in an Italian poetry competition at NYU's Casa . Tanishka took home a first place prize. We would like to congratulate them both on their hard work and dedication.

Sixth grade Italian students enjoyed a day of beautiful weather, delicious food, and Italian games, such as Bocce, Tombola, and Scopa, at Casa Belvedere (The Italian Cultural Foundation) in Staten Island, New York.
CMS 8th Graders had a ball today at the annual "Palio Games " facilitated by the 8th grade teachers! The three academic teams compete against each other in a variety of games and activities culminated by the tug-o-war! The winning team will be announced at Moving Up! Stay tuned!
It was awesome to have our incoming 6th grade class at CMS today for Central Connections, their first experience as a one group. Thanks to the CMS students as well as the elementary and CMS staff who participated. We look forward to seeing everyone in September!
