When BlueCo signed this guy and handed him a 9 years contract, the media were crying, "What kind of deal is this?" 😂 Six months later, Chelsea even added another year to it. Now imagine if it had only been a 5- year deal back then. He'd have just 18 months left on his contract today. But here's what the inflation argument always misses. Inflation doesn't only attack investors. It attacks everybody. The person with ₦100M and the person with nothing are living in the same inflationary economy. The difference is one of them has options.

People will still continue to earn in naira for the next 15 years. And yes, the response was in order. Not investing (₦0m) because of fear of devaluation will result in nothing after 15 years. By the way, the naira has been growing/stabilising in the last 12months.
