@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews its uhhh
its self healing, which is something we all need if you think about it
English

@DrumNet3 @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Right? Like we should be allowed to enjoy a story from all levels of appreciation. Casual viewers are just as valid as obsessive fans. We all show interest differently.
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews oh yeah for sure hahah i didnt like the tourist im way better than you talk they had too
English

@DrumNet3 @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Honestly, the weight not needing to be realistic is a good reason to exaggerate the motion just to make it clear to viewers what's happening. On the first roof, only her first land made an impact. I feel MOST of her steps shoulda left a mark and DEFINITLY when she jumped off it
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews i can kinda see where you're going further analyzing it but you don't have to make weight realistic, it just has to be believable in motion. when she landed, she did have a moment of maintaining balance only for a little bit and that snappiness registered to me that she's agile!
English

@DrumNet3 @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Hey i'm sure there's SOME reason for that knife being able to slice between atoms or the rope being extremely tensile strong but flimsy from a cleavage point like a gemstone
But i can safely say that falling off a building would hinder my ability to cut any form of metal cable.
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews i do see your point about the rope from another reply though, the guy just cuts it off like it's no one's business, found that a little strange
could chalk it up to a fiber that breaks in specific conditions or a bungie rope that can handle pressure but not being lacerated
English

@DrumNet3 @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews I'll admit i was onoy saying "what's the story reason" to spite the other person i was talking with lmao
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews dunno if there's a story reason haha, haven't read the material yet i just really liked the animation
English

@DrumNet3 @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Yeah but then when she lands on the first building, her first impact is a heavy slam and then all her weight seems to vanish. I absolutely agree there are satisfying moments but then when she raises her leg to kick she looks like shes a normal lightweight person. Its inconsistent
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews what?? i thought a lot of the weight in the animation felt nice. there's a slight limp when conveying panic, the bounce when motoko dropped to the grapple's limit felt punchy. idk it looks pretty good
English

@JanJeenies This dude really dumped your ass to grind at spawn, that is fuckin wild and hysterically tragic. My condolences.
English

@8bitWar_ I feel like Undyne would be an Asura's Wrath kinda gal.
English

@MELOS_66 Luckyyyy
Who needs respect with friends as good as you? Hehe >;3
English

@CManutz Haha, it's just that because he's a friend ;3 we try to hold back to respect him, heh.

@tP4thacc @KingJameson7 I wan't trying to disprove or argue with them. The animation is so fluid it may as well be a puddle of water. I like a bit of rigid structure in my cartoons to feel grounded. Sue me. This 5 ton robot warrior has a completely inconsistent weight in her animation. It's uncanny.
English

Ghost in a shell fans would get freshly cooked garlic butter lobster with a billion dollars on one side and a hot woman lap-dancing on the other and be like "Oh my god i fucking hate this"
ANIME Reviews@0ANIMEReviews
GAWD wtf is this animation 😭🔥 Anime: The ghost in the shell
English

@ProfessorFeriad @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Yeah her movements when she's on the ground look fine but she's floating around on those cables like she weighs 140 pounds.
What's the animated storytelling of a human being able to cut through the same cable that somehow supports a robot that can crush a shipping crate?
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews You really didn't see how heavy she fells during the hole scene? She's made almost entirely out of metal, breaks the roof when jumping and the cable give a perfect feeling of how heavy she is, not to mention how he reacts to receiving that kick.
This is animated storytelling.
English

@ProfessorFeriad @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Well i mean do you want an animation of a brick wall to look fluid?
Rigidity and structure are just as important of staples to animation as fluid motion are.
I'm not saying that fluid animation is bad, it's just sometimes you can have too much of a good thing.
English

@CManutz @connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews Tourists got to the point that animation being "too fluid" is somehow bad.
English

@connorleary64 @0ANIMEReviews I gotta be honest, this animation is TOO fluid to me. Nothing feels rigid or stable. It doesn't even really feel like the movements have good weight to them.
Some of the people in the crowd just look like they're wildly flinging their arms around faster than my eyes can see.
English

@0ANIMEReviews Do people dislike this? This is amazing! It reminds me of the incredibly fluid, dynamic animation of 80s/90s OVA's. Modern anime looks fantastic in stills, but a lot of the movement is stiff, stilted, and awkward.
