@pfau I also think the line needs to be changed for millenials who grew up pre-social media and those who grew up with social media/smart phones during their formative years. I think the difference between getting social media at 25 vs 15 is a huge difference.

@GrantPaulsen Michael Westbrook, Rod Gardner, Taylor Jacobs, Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly, Josh Doctson, Jahan Dotson. We have never hit on a WR in the top 2 rounds in the modern era. Give me Tate if we take a WR, higher bust potential is not what I want from a WR.

Hot draft take: If the Commanders draft a WR at 7, I'd prefer Jordyn Tyson or Makai Lemon over Carnell Tate. I like Tate's game. Will be solid NFL WR. But at 7, take a big swing. Tyson (outside) and Lemon (inside) have higher ceilings. Twitchier; they'll be better after catch.

@JPFinlayNBCS What I do not understand though is from what I can tell, we had a lot of unused cap space. Lattimore is going to be gone. I doubt we spend to the limit, why get rid of him when we are unlikely to use the money saved from cutting him?

One thing that gets lost in the Daron Payne discussion - salary cap is going up to $300 million. The numbers we think are so high? They really arent. Payne's deal is maybe 10 percent of the cap, and that's if they dont rework it
Ben Standig@BenStandig

Daron Payne on the possibility his time with the Commanders was ending: “I mean, I’m a hell of a football player. I’m sure I’ll have a job next year somewhere.” Details on why that somewhere, despite viable cap cut rationale, is likely staying put. open.substack.com/pub/lastmansta…

@SpencerMagne @john_keim If we aren’t good again next year Quinn is gone. Very odd that he is banking his career on two guys who have never called plays.

@john_keim It's disturbing as a fan who has watched 30+ years of losing that the majority of DC candidates they're interviewing are basically Joe Whitt clones - secondary guys w/no experience with all the defensive positions. and as inexperienced as the OC they've just hired. I hate this!

Quinn worked with Harris in Dallas of course. Washington had been intent on hiring an experienced DC/play caller. Harris lacks that experience (as does Karl Scott). But with Ulbrich and Flores out (uncertain on Morris) search is expanded
Jeremy Fowler@JFowlerESPN

Bears passing game coordinator Al Harris is interviewing for the Commanders defensive coordinator position, per source. Harris interviewed in Green Bay today, per @AdamSchefter. Bears led NFL in interceptions (23).

Former Washington safety Kam Curl comes up with a game-changing interception for the Rams. Looks like Moore never saw this throw. Williams pushing the ball down the field at a time where he didn’t really need to.

History will write who was the best of the 2024 QB class. The analysts said it would be once in a generation and so far they are all living up to that.

David Blough knows the offense, has a great relationship with Jayden Daniels, and brings a mix of traditional and innovative thinking. Plus, he's a young, ascending star in the coaching world. Is Blough the guy for Washington?

@discoque90 Pats had by far the easiest schedule in the nfl and only beat one team with a winning record. The bills once. Jags schedule much harder. Beat Denver in Denver, Texans, chargers, and niners. Give me Cohen.
