Question for #phage twitter - what #prophage identifying tools are currently the best/standard for #metagenomics? I'm not seeing a clear answer when sifting through the literature. Any advice? cc: @phylogenomics

@shrutip129 @lonna_wright @pollenmicrobes @phylogenomics Hah so this was one of my rotation projects. unfortunately I didn’t specify prophages but I can comment that of VirSorter vs DeepVirFinder vs VIBRANT, VIBRANT was best at identifying viruses (true positives) and VirSorter was best at excluding plasmid sequences (true negatives)
