@Honeyfarsafi@AtwoliDza This is by far the most disheartening news I have heard. The same court giving orders snd later squashing them. Is thus even a country? An 80year old man cannot just resign and let younger person to take over in peace? This is absurd.
Hello guys. So here’s what Francis Atwoli @AtwoliDza has been up to because clearly, he has no plans of letting go. Despite being nearly 80 years old, the man is still hell-bent on clinging to power as the head of COTU. And as if that’s not absurd enough, he’s now going after his competitors in the most brazen, corrupt, and thuggish ways imaginable.
Atwoli has been targeting the secretary generals of various independent unions-six, to be specific trying to frustrate, intimidate, and even eliminate them from the scene. The unions under attack include:
1Water and Sanitation
2Commercial
3Journalism
4Security
5Puton
6Transport and Allied Workers Union (TAWU)
Let’s start with the Transport and Allied Workers Union (TAWU), where things have gotten dangerously out of hand. On the 26th of May, it’s alleged that Atwoli sent goons to physically attack the current Secretary General, Dan Mihadi, at his office. Mihadi narrowly escaped with his life. In his place, a man named Nicholas Ogola was illegally installed as SG completely against the union’s constitution.
The case should’ve been straightforward, but the court has been behaving suspiciously. Dan Mihadi initially secured a favorable judgment, only for it to be inexplicably overturned by the same court. Meanwhile, Ogola’s camp has been openly boasting that Atwoli “sorted out” the judges and would make sure Mihadi is dragged through the mud, drained financially, and humiliated back to the village.
In a shocking twist, a forgery complaint was filed against him at Central Police Station. He was arrested, only for the person whose name appears on the complaint to later say they never stepped foot in that police station and had nothing to do with the charges.
Still, the police showed no interest in correcting the record. One officer quietly warned Mihadi that Atwoli had pumped a lot of money into the system to make sure Mihadi stays buried in legal drama. From the police to the judiciary, the behavior of state actors around this case has been deeply questionable.
And this is just one union. There are five others facing the same coordinated chaos and sabotage. It’s a clear pattern: frustrate, intimidate, and replace anyone who dares challenge Atwoli’s grip on power. It’s tragic how far some people will go to maintain control—not serve, not lead, just cling on. At nearly 80, Atwoli should be writing his memoirs, not terrorizing unions.
Atwoli is a goon and has terrorized people his entire life. The unions need to get rid of this thug ASAP!

They are afraid of the young people.
They know that we will not forget.
They know that we see what they do.
They know we will not accept it.
They know we are not like our parents
They know we will not keep quiet
That’s why they beat us- to silence us
