@bretstrelow To me, this should be a good play. Stops and establishing pivot foot, then makes a move off of it. Otherwise, many post moves and a lot of layups are a travel. If pivot touches again or it is not an immediate release of the ball then a travel.

I don't care what the NBA allows, or how rules language gets interpreted ... Dribbling, picking up your dribble, using your right foot as your pivot foot, getting stuck and getting out of trouble only by lifting that foot to push off the other foot should not be allowed.

Got to see @jj_redick in person 2 times while at Duke. Hands down, Top 5 shooter all time in my book. He controlled games from 28 ft. Defenses had to prepare and his shooting off the move was unmatched.
