@London_W4 And we know how hard it is to convince you to give in to the "pub temptation"! 🤣 🤣 🤣 To your defense, most pubs look absolutely beautiful and very inviting 😊
@babybeginner I see this, it's been 19 mins since the post, but that's because I was cleaning my apartment and wasn't on X earlier. 😊 And yes, I follow you.
I’m trying to test something. I’m told in the first 15 mins of a post the algorithm tests it on a few people to see if it’s worth showing to anyone else.
Is it testing on your followers or others?
If you see this would you tell me if you’re a follower or not? How many minutes since I posted this did you see it?
It makes a difference if your content is sent out to followers as a test or random people. Presumably your followers are interested in the things you are too.
If a post doesn’t get traction immediately it just stops being shown to people.
Thank you for the help!!
Mornin’. The moon and the night sky last night after sunset. Heading home today after an absolutely perfect stay here. A beautiful shepherd’s hut, lovely trout lakes, gorgeous countryside and a perfect village pub (The Thomas Lord). The place I stayed is here: meonsprings.com in case you wanted to book a perfect break in the English countryside. You don’t need to fish, you can just stay and admire the lakes. Ridiculously reasonable prices (cheaper than anything else I found and better). I don’t receive any money or any anything for recommending them; I just think credit where credit is due. I’m very happy to take freebies and bribes though, if you wanted me to come and stay. I hope you’ve enjoyed my photos as much as I’ve enjoyed a few days away in England. Back to London now though. Well, after I’ve had breakfast in the pub. Cheers 🥂
@CMltni She’s still got her feral gene. The minute we try and crate her, all hell breaks loose. Looks like my boy cat ate her sedative, he’s wobbling, she’s wide eyed and suspicious. So it looks like we’re taking him first, which is no issue!
Today I have to wrestle this innocent ball of fluff into a crate and drag her off for her jabs.
Don’t let those big eyes and soft fur fool you. The moment she realises what I’m doing, she turns into a tiny, furious ninja. She twists like a pretzel, wraps herself round my arm like a scarf, and deploys claws and teeth with military precision. It’s as if someone flips a psycho switch the second that door opens.
Outside the crate she’s pure sweetness, purring and head-butting like a pro. Inside it? Absolute chaos.
My husband and I have tried every trick in the book: fancy treats, the pillowcase trick, burrito-ing her in a towel, even sedatives. Nothing works. She’s basically a furry escape artist with a grudge.
So today it’s down to me. I’m will get suited up like I’m heading into battle, leather gloves, long sleeves, and a brand-new soft carrier that I’m praying might do the job.
Wish me luck.
Thoughts and prayers, please. Send them in bulk. I’ll let you know if I still have all my fingers afterwards.
🤯 May we as a nation be worthy of people like Eliya Cohen.
The 27-year-old, who spent 505 days in Gaza starved and tortured by the Hamas terrorists who kidnapped him, recounts a meeting with a clueless American activist.

@babybeginner Look at him!!!!!! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ He is so into it!! I love that he can feel safe enough to enjoy your pets and affection. He deserves it all! ❤️
Mornin’. Another gorgeous morning begins. Woke to the sound of the birds singing and the sunlight pouring through the windows of my shepherd’s hut. Here it is, looking at it from across the lake where I caught a large trout yesterday. I may even do a spot of fly fishing again today. Because I can.
I can’t remember what these are called, but anyway, I just loved their silhouette against the sky as the last of the sun’s rays light up the sky before it disappears behind the brow of a nearby hill.
Well, it turns out that there’s a blooming lot of setting up to do to get your rod ready for fly fishing. So far this morning, I’ve tied the backing line to the reel and wound it in, then tied the leader line to the backing line and wound that in. Next, I need to tie a fly on, but it’s breakfast time now and I’m starving after all this work, so have come to the local pub for a full English. How beautiful is this layout for breakfast? If I were a pub in London, that’s what I’d do. Something different and special. Love it.
