To celebrate #SeachtainNaGaelige, Irish language students in DC have recorded some phrases in Irish☘️ @Fulbright_Eire Scholar Caragh Uí Chorráin of @CatholicUniv shares her love of Irish and how her favorite phrase, “giorraíonn beirt bóthar,” captures the 🇮🇪-🇺🇸 friendship.

“Irish is a dead language!” Listen to Misha Yerhidzé, a 10 year old Ukranian boy who fled the war with his mother just over two years ago and settled in Baile an Fheirtéaraigh, in the West Kerry Gaeltacht. He has embraced the language and music of his new community.

“She was a joy and a gift. We never forgot that. We soaked it all in. We did soak it all in,” says Andy Beyer, who lost his wife and his daughter in last week’s plane crash. “I want people to have a memory of them so they live on.”
