Strengthening Africa’s Data Future Through Skills and Partnership COMESA, in collaboration with Statistics Sweden and the Zambia Statistics Agency (ZamStats), is currently delivering a five-day intensive training on SQL and database management in Lusaka. This initiative—under the Africa Migration Statistics Project (2023–2026) funded by Sida—is building critical technical capacity to enhance the quality, availability, and coordination of migration data across Africa.

President William Ruto today presided over the swearing-in of 12 judges to the COMESA Court of Justice at State House, Nairobi. The judges, elected in 2024, will serve renewable five-year terms across the Appellate and First Instance Divisions. Ruto emphasized integrity, fairness, and the Court’s critical role in safeguarding livelihoods, investments, and regional aspirations. Earlier, he also swore in 24 High Court judges and 13 Environment and Land Court judges of Kenya.
