🚨 Brighton confirm plans for the UK and Europe’s first purpose built women’s football stadium. The stadium will provide bespoke facilities for Brighton’s women’s team and represents a key milestone in the club’s 2030 vision. Work has begun on a planning application for the new women’s stadium located at Bennett’s Field. The location is immediately adjacent to the Amex. The new women’s stadium has been designed with a minimum capacity of 10,000 and will be connected to the Amex via a new bridge link. Significant progress has already been made on design work for the stadium. The club’s ambition is for the stadium to open no later than the 2030/31 season, subject to planning approvals. 🗣️ Women’s managing director Zoe Johnson: "The prospect of a bespoke stadium, built exclusively for women’s players, staff and supporters, is incredibly exciting. @alexedicken Every other team in this league picks it's best players in their best positions, we try and be smart and end up with our best players on the bench while others play out of form or out of position. He will show next season with a run of games how good he really can be.
