@maurice_MerP yea runs are weird, sometimes my run is completely wiped from jump and others I completely breeze through I think it's the shotguns, that shit + melee is insane. also the "invulnerability on kill" artifacts are basically free clears lol

@CONEY it feels like an evolution of returnal but i do miss the feeling of wanting to throw my controller out the window when i die. some runs feel like im a little too strong in saros

Saros is my GOTY so far Having this level of polish on a game that's DUMMY hard is so refreshing. Playing something that looks & feels AAA where you just shoot and dodge colored balls is sublime

Hard to say because I'm not done yet, I'm at the end but haven't finished I like it so far because I'm a sucker for "cosmic thing drives people crazy" as a trope but I'm barely engaging with it. Returnal had a similar story that only made sense at the end so holding judgement til then, but it's def intriguing

@CONEY Do you care about the story at all? I've heard very mixed things

@SoCalZork Nope! Runs do NOT feel unique, you might get a different boss at the midpoint of each level but generally every run is the same. Less like Isaac and more like a shmup I love it personally but I'm a "pick broadsword and level it to endgame" kind of guy

@CONEY Is there any fun itemization or anything you'd see in a roguelite? What makes runs feel unique?

@TheCrazySuper I don't 100% remember how Returnal did it but I think Saros does progression better, there's more to upgrade between runs honestly though it's 90% the same DNA, if you didn't like Returnal this is gonna feel the exact same lol

@CONEY Would you recommend it to someone who found returnal boring? The rougelike aspect was very disappointing also which is what I played the game for
