@MLSist Arena - was in Lacrosse who took over soccer at UVA a good man-manager in an era where that was needed, who had better coaches around him, Berhalter - former player who was given all benefits & rose to the top bc of nepotism/friendships & tried to make most of it.!?

The idea that Bruce Arena, literally the winningest men’s coach in American soccer history and someone who coached the USMNT to a WC quarterfinal is not a “rEaL cOaCh” is preposterous and the fact that that view is kind of pervasive says a lot. 🤷
