@Peter_Bukowski Wisconsin got absolutely screwed over in the expansion process in the 1990s. Ottawa had no business getting a team - just completely bullshitted about what they had in place in terms of building and finances and has been a joke of a franchise ever since.

It's weird Wisconsin has never been a hockey state despite being the actual training ground for speedskating and the UW women's hockey team being an absolute wagon every year. And it COULD be a hockey state if they had a real team.
