DYK COTF was founded by women? OT has always been shaped by the leadership, scholarship & commitment of women. This #InternationalWomensDay we recognize those whose research deepens our understanding, whose mentorship strengthens our community & whose advocacy pushes OT forward.

Meet Matt, COTF Board Director! 👋 Inspired by his mom’s 30+ year nursing career, Matt completed his MScOT at @DalhousieU, returned as an instructor, and later opened The Bearded OT in BC, focused on pediatric occupational therapy.

Meet Anne, our Foundation Coordinator! 👋 This year marks her 17th year with COTF. The 2009 CAOT Conference opened her eyes to the passion and compassion OTs have. Since then, Anne has seen firsthand how OTs advocate, volunteer, problem-solve and support clients.

Meet our Board Member, Julie! 👋 Julie works as Project Manager for the Fertility Preservation Program at @SickKidsNews. Her path to OT was inspired by her own experience - following an accident at age 12, she wanted to support others facing similar challenges.
