When seconds matter, a working smoke alarm is the gift of time in the event of a fire. Test alarms monthly and replace at least once a year and whenever low battery warning sounds. #HolidaySafety #FireSafety #12DaysofHolidayFireSafety

Fires caused by holiday decorations and open flames from candles are all too common. Battery-powered candles are a great alternative but if you must use, keep candles away from pets and children, place candle in a sturdy container and always blow out when you leave the room. ^ma

Tonight, during the hours of 6pm-8pm, our firefighters as well as Bylaw Officers will be patrolling the streets to assist anyone in need during trick or treating. If you need any assistance, don’t hesitate to flag someone down. If there is an emergency, please call 911.
