@cponder7 What happens if their QB gets injured in the semifinal?

I’m excited for these playoffs games. By the new CFP logic, it won’t be the team that wins that moves on. It will be the team that looks better and has better statistics that moves on, regardless of what the score says. Should be fun to watch.

@Rhino9602 I think 20+ is a stretch but Washington was 10 point underdogs to Oregon and won. That’s why you play the game on the field, not on paper.

@NinerKhadafi And his numbers mattered because they were a one loss team. FSU is undefeated. When playoffs start, it doesn’t matter what kind of numbers you put up. All that matters is whether you win or lose.

@cponder7 This is what cardale jones did before the playoff field was decided in 2014…so it’s not the same

Assumptions on performance should never be a factor. It was assumed that Oregon would beat Washington by 10 points. JT is one of the best players in the country but you can’t assume that Tate is not. Exhibit A: Cardale Jones

@GetitGuy99 With their 3rd string qb who won’t start again this year. Ohio St was a 1 loss team so numbers mattered. FSU is undefeated in a Power 5 conference. If a team in the playoffs loses but puts up better offensive numbers than the winner, they still go home.

Wow so CFP committee’s argument is that losses don’t matter. Decision should have been between UT and Bama, not FSU and Bama. How is UT an assumed top 3 team with a loss to OU when 3 teams are undefeated Power 5 champs? Should have been Mich, Wash, FSU, Bama/UT. Unbelievable.
