Charlie Christopher was 3rd in the FBS in PFF's grades for LBs last season (min. 190 snaps). He was also 5th for run defense, 9th for tackling and 16th for coverage. It seems like North Dakota State and Sacramento State could very well be postseason eligible immediately after making the FBS jump. A rule change that would be long overdue.

NCAA FB Oversight Committee today moved forward legislation to eliminate the 2-year postseason probationary period for transitioning FCS teams, sources tell @YahooSports. DI Cabinet now must adopt the change. If adopted, Sac State and ND State would be bowl eligible in 2026.
