I grew up wanting to work in animation or comics. My problem was I could never stick with anything. I struggled to sit for longer than a few moments to properly practice and improve. Reality bit me that I wasn't skilled enough to pursue that dream so I joined the military and worked.
The desire to create never left me though.
I still had ideas to draw, stories to write.
In 2019 my passion for video games died and I fell back into writing. By 2020 I'd picked up my pen again and found out how to practice in a way that actually taught me what I was lacking. I was also diagnosed with ADHD in 2020 and suddenly my "lack of discipline" disappeared.
I still work a full time job. But I'm closer to drawing the kind of art I always wanted to than I ever have been and I just want to keep drawing.
