After everything I’ve watched since Testing, I’m in 2 minds now that we’ve seen the cars in competitive action.
When I watch F1, I’m always looking at the telemetry, the live data, the live onboards and like to dig deeper into the technical side.
With that viewing lens on, these new regulations are a tough watch. I notice all the small things - and it’s hard to shake off.
However, if I removed that side of me a purely focused on the TV pictures, with no interest in the data traces and the technical side - I’ve noticed the cars themselves look great. Fast, smaller and more nimble.
Off-board shots you cannot notice a difference.
Which is great for the casual fan - but the large majority of F1 fans are not in that ballpark.
We do all pick up on the small things - and some changes are needed.
Do we need a massive overhaul? No. Surely not.
But if something can be done to re-balance the deployment to make it more bearable - I’m all in.

I'm getting a bit tired of all the negativity towards the new #F1 cars - its the beginning of a new set of regulations. The cars will probably be 2 or 3 seconds a lap quicker by the end of the season.
They're smaller, lighter, more nimble and looser than recent years - good!

@NeyteMZ @UniverseIce I also have S23U and are thinking of upgrading to S26. My S23U battery is awful now, do you recommend upgrading to S26U? Is screen actually worse compared to S23U?

@UniverseIce It's simple btw, if you have a S25U you dont change for the S26U BUUUUUUT if you have S24U or another before, the question need to be ask.
In my case, i have S23U since the beginning and i bought the S26U.

Rick Carlisle on Pacers' $100K fine for violating the Player Participation Policy:
"During the interview (with the NBA), they also asked if we considered medicating (Aaron Nesmith) to play in a game when we were 30 games under .500."
Carlisle said that Nesmith could not hold onto a basketball but the NBA "unilaterally decided" he should have played in the game in question, without talking to Nesmith or Pacers' doctors.

Good conversation on Finals format - this is essentially showing the impact of the bracket reset. While we all agree the Winner’s Bracket team deserves an advantage, our position has been that having two lives in the Finals is too big of an edge and this data seems to reinforce that. WB teams winning 80% of the time entering the Finals can dampen the excitement: 1) The outcome seems predetermined and 2) during the match it's not as intense since it's not do-or-die for the WB team during a large portion of the match.
Now should there be a bigger advantage for WB? Potentially (e.g., 1 map win). But we don’t think a bracket reset is the answer. Winning 4x as much (vs the 2nd best team no less) seems imbalanced and I’d argue that the now 60/40 split between winner of WB and LB is much healthier

Multiple sources with knowledge of Thursday's GM meeting as well as a late January Competition Committee meeting told ESPN that the following concepts have been discussed to curb tanking:
•First-round picks can be protected only top-4 or top-14+
•Lottery odds freeze at the trade deadline or a later date
•No longer allowing a team to pick top 4 in consecutive years and/or after consecutive bottom-3 finishes
•Teams can’t pick top-4 the year after making conference finals
•Lottery odds allocated based on two-year records
•Lottery extended to include all play-in teams
•Flatten odds for all lottery teams
