After interviewing @PTLauren1, who gave my Barbie a telehealth seating eval, I donated a new Barbie to Lauren's clinic. Lauren just sent me (with their permission) a photo of the mom & little girl who received the Barbie. The child & Barbie both have purple chairs. 🥲

Barbie recovered from that accidental hair trim by her stylist (me) and carried on with our photo shoot. She's a trouper.

Wheelchair Rider Barbie's head was bolted to the plastic packaging. In trying to free her, I missed one of the bolts & instead CUT OFF HER HAIR on the right side. 😭

A wheelchair is not a barrier. Stairs are a barrier. Curbs are a barrier. Inaccessibility is a barrier. Stop blaming wheelchairs and wheelchair users. Blame those who create and perpetuate the barriers.

Great reading. And brings up the question of what manual wheelchair skills should be taught, e.g., how to use arm technique + trunk flexion when navigating cross slopes...?
