1. This is the Queen's Hotel. It once stood on Front Street in Toronto. During the American Civil War, it was filled with Confederate soldiers and spies — from there, they plotted to win the war & preserve slavery. Here's a thread about Torontonian support for the Confederacy.

March 15th for Germany, Spain, France, 16th for ASEAN, Japan, UK, Switzerland. ROW was just yesterday or day before. We'll see if it was early enough to be effective.

Hate to be a pill, but the case for "test like mad and you don;t need lockdowns" may be disappearing. Check out Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong over the last week or so.

@AlexUsherHESA @market4neolib @ceciliaaraneda Returnees to Singapore would all have been issued enforceable 14-day 'Stay-Home Notices' which should *hopefully* have limited the opportunity for community transmission before they were caught.

@market4neolib @ceciliaaraneda Just looking at Singaporean press, it does look like a high proportion are returnees (as in Canada until this week), but if they were in the population for awhile before getting caught by the test, then you;re going to get community transmission numbers will be spiking shortly

How to watch The Shawshank Redemption for the first time: Get the ending confused w/ another 90s movie you haven't seen (The Usual Suspects) & think Andy Dufresne is 100% guilty.
