Donk is sitting in 9th place overall, and he's clearly the best player on his team. His ranking is about 12 positions higher than the team average, which shows he probably has one of the strongest contributions to his team's wins. However, Spirit as a team has a lot of losses and relatively few strong results (especially compared to teams like NaVi or Vitality).

The points will remain saved, but over time the recency factor will gradually nullify/devalue the old points. In the new team, he will start earning new points based on his performances with the new roster.

It's a bit tricky to explain, but I'll try 😊 We're developing a website that calculates VRS using the exact formula Valve created (which is available on their GitHub). Then we thought: if we're already calculating VRS for teams, why not give it to individual players as well? So we made an adaptation that fully preserves Valve's original concept. The only difference is that instead of team vs team, we now have 5 players vs 5 players. Depending on each player's contribution, their rating, and whether the team wins or loses, we award VRS points. That's why a player's VRS isn't about K/D or headshot percentage — it's about their actual contribution to the team's victory and earning points for things like prize money from LAN wins, etc.
